Reviews of the brand-new sequel: THE CARD PEOPLE II: IDENTITY SWAP
(reviews by eighth graders)
In THE CARD PEOPLE II: IDENTITY SWAP, by James Sulzer, the scheming villain, David Westfield, has the Kapadias worried when they find out that he has developed nanodust to use for his own devices.
A mysterious new, yet not-so-new, character appears: Amra, a young woman straight from India . . . Can there be a connecton between the Kapadias and Amra? The answer, which readers find in the middle of the book, is very surprising!
I think Mr. Sulzer is a GREAT writer and I enjoyed the book very much!

Usually, when a children's novel/movie gains much praise, producers are obliged to create a sequel. However, usually when the sequel appears, it is a disgrace and brings shame to the franchise. In this world of seemingly endless terrible sequels, James Sulzer fails to disappoint. His sequel THE CARD PEOPLE II: IDENTITY SWAP is packed with more action and hype than the original. The story deepens with Paul and his card friends, "nanimated" by a scientific breakthrough that can bring objects to life, as the antagonist, David Westfield, collaborates with terrorists to "nano-matically" hijack a nuclear submarine, and with it, its atomic payload . . . The story is as mysterious as it is fun, action packed, and filled with more fun shananigans than the first. With the addition of a comic manhole cover and a headstrong divebomber to the nanimated family, the fun will never end! Grades 4-8

Mr. Sulzer has done it again, another stunning read. THE CARD PEOPLE II: IDENTITY SWAP is an exciting new read that will have readers eager for more. From exciting escapes from CIA agents to emotional tension between friends, IDENTITY SWAP will have readers clawing on the walls for the third part.

Author James Sulzer does it again with this thrilling novel about the "nanimated" card people and their human companions on an adventure to stop David Westfield and his goons. The original cast from the first book is back with an addition of Amra and with the incredible switch of the Jack of DIamonds and Paul Kapadia, who is one of the main characters. I found this to be a heartwarming adventure for all ages.

Jim Sulzer's new book, THE CARD PEOPLE II: IDENTITY SWAP, is a great read for people 4th - 8th grade. Its exciting, interesting plot keeps you hungry for more! The book starts where the first one left off, with Paul, Sam, their mom, and, of course, their dog Brinda being kept in their house by a bunch of military people . . . Paul escapes to his father's lab, where he hopes to find nanodust. All he finds is a mysterious message . . . This book keeps me excited to read the next book in the series.

Jack and Paul team up in an unusual way and try to take down Westfield's next plan. They meet a mysterious friend (or foe) named Amra. Love and friendship battle with Paul and Nim. What will come of Lex? Will they figure out who the HOBO is? This book is a must read if you like mystery, action, and adventure.

THE CARD PEOPLE II: IDENTITY SWAP, the second part of a thrilling series, by James Sulzer, is a dramatic, perhaps a bit overly dramatic yet intriguing book. The story takes place just north of Boston with two boys, Sam and Paul, the main characters from the book before this one, THE SCISSORS OF FATE. This book has many plots, one of which involves the stopping of a mass nanodust production . . . Overall, this book is interesting, very dramatic, emotional and definitely worth reading.

THE CARD PEOPLE is a great series of books. IDENTITY SWAP takes place on the North Shore, with a regular family. But the family isn't so regular. Samir, the father of Sam and Paul, was a brilliant scientist . . . This book is a great action and dramatic book for any age above 9. I look forward to reading the next book.

Jim Sulzer has done it again, with his second volume of THE CARD PEOPLE series, IDENTITY SWAP. This book is action packed and has many surprises along their journey . . . The boys have to leave their mom accompanied by a mysterious woman named Amra. The scissors people aren't all of their worries now with David nanimating worse things than them. Will Paul and Sam make it out alive?
